Welcome to Teaching Driving CPD for ADIs

CPD log

Concept image of the theme continued professional development

Teaching Driving Limited offer training courses for driving instructors leading towards nationally recognised Edexcel and ILM (part of City and Guilds) qualifications from our impressive state-of-the-art training centre based in Pontefract (where the M62 and A1 intersect). Even though we operate our own franchised network of driving schools (i.e. LDC driving schools) all small independent driving school operators are equally welcomed to attend any of the courses listed on this website.

As part of our drive to help you keep ahead of the game we are pleased to add our New Standards Check Workshop to our extensive range of courses for driving instructorsAt this new workshop you will learn how to apply client centred approaches to your teaching, utilising all that you currently offer to your learners but adding a client centred dimension which will enhance your learners experience and develop your skills for the future. We do not wish to de-construct what you do now but add to it and help you to gradually incorporate some aspects of coaching as part of your game. The workshop is very interactive and provides an ideal forum in which to get a clear understanding of what to expect and how to go about developing the client centred techniques necessary to obtain a grade A.

CPD training for ADI credentials

In addition to being an accredited DVSA ORDIT/Fleet training centre we are also an accredited Edexcel and ILM training centre offering nationally recognised qualifications on the Governments Qualification Credit Framework (QCFs). Therefore if you are interested in becoming an approved ORDIT trainer, fleet trainer, teacher, assessor, coach or simple improve your IT, English, Maths or Enterprise skills you now have a national centre dedicated to driving instructors for this purpose in the North of England. We wish to offer courses to fit with the new set-up of the Standards Check,  and going forward, to tie in with the plans of the DVSA to make becoming a driving instructor part of the Governments Qualifications Credit Framework (QCF). See new QCF standards below: https://www.gov.uk/national-standard…rider-training If you have any thoughts about courses you would like to see as part of the CPD programme I would also be interested in hearing from you.
